Active Project
Tribal
Coding agents made writing code virtually automatic. Planning and review are the new bottlenecks — and that is where engineering judgment lives. Tribal is a shared workspace where humans and LLMs draft, review, and approve engineering plans before any code gets written.
Status
Prototyping
Working with engineers at Replit, Datadog, and Tailscale to shape the alpha.
What this is
Structured templates, named stakeholders, typed comments, lifecycle states, and sign-off — the engineering plan treated as a first-class artifact instead of a Google Doc nobody re-reads. Approved plans hand off downstream as scoped, authoritative context for coding agents.
The thesis
A document is the compressed output of a thinking process, and the thinking is the asset. Most tools throw the thinking away and keep only the output, which is exactly why review is painful and a year-old doc is useless context. Tribal captures the deliberation so engineering judgment compounds instead of evaporating.
