We ran paid Facebook ads to drive callers to the service. The ads generated roughly 30,000 impressions and zero inbound calls. Along the way, Facebook banned the ad account twice on suspicion of fraud — the vocabulary required to describe an AI that answers a phone number for free apparently trips every anti-fraud signal the platform has. Without a viable acquisition channel, we shut the alpha down.

How it works

You call a phone number. Gary — an AI-powered tech support specialist — answers. He speaks naturally, remembers what you've told him, and never rushes you off the phone. Gary is artificial intelligence, not a human.

What we're testing

Whether a phone-first AI service can deliver genuinely useful conversations — tech help, companionship, everyday questions — without requiring any new technology from the caller.
